LiveMinutes is a Free collaborative meeting service focused on Document Sharing.
Today most teams share documents by email (or Dropbox/Box) and discuss them on the phone, everyone looking separately at his own version. In this process, teams waste time, don't fully collaborate, and lose track of decisions. Traditional screen sharing lacks collaboration, and Google Docs lacks meeting features. This is a billion dollar market waiting to be disrupted.
With LiveMinutes, everyone can videochat, look at the same slide at the same time and annotate documents in real time. Also, what's awesome with LiveMinutes is that it generates meeting reports for you, so you can keep track of what was decided during meetings, and send copies to absentees.
The team
We believe people should be able to collaborate real-time. In Practice, meetings shouldn't be a hassle to organize, a nightmare to attend, and writing the meeting reports should not be the team's hazing.
We're a small team of real-time web and UI passionate people, based in SF and Paris. We love designing, coding, hacking, testing (in that order). We like engaging with you and getting your feedback, good or bad. Above all, we care about developing a great product.
Kemal
Kemal is our idea guy. Whether it is a new product feature, a new business partnership, or a new tech experiment, Kemal is always boiling up a new plan. He is always thinking on new ways to build a better product, faster. His desk is overwhelmed with piles of paper, drafts, and world domination plans, so he prefers working on the office couch. His favorite discussion topics: user feedback, new services, brainteasers, and the French National Rugby team. If you would like to reach out, that's kemal@liveminutes.com.
Alexis
Alex is our Gandalf, Photoshop is his wand. Alex lives for the User Experience, he breathes, eats, sleeps, only for the UX. He will strike you with lightening if you try to mess up the UX. Alex is the guy we go to when we have a new wild idea about the product. He will make you fight hard for your feature, but when he decides to run some magic on it, you can be sure he will enchant you with the result. His bedside books are "Getting Real" by 37 signals, smashing magazine, and "Don't touch my UI" by himself. So if you like the interface, and would like to send some love, that's alexis@liveminutes.com.
Julien
Julien is our Integrator. Julien takes designs in and gets fully functional interfaces out. Julien loves to cut, slice, dice, and reassemble, with psychopathic, unstoppable patience and precision. Watching Julien is like watching a Japanese Sushi Master, grabbing a fish, and seamlessly working his sharp knife, to present you with a flawless rainbow of Sake and Maguro rolls. Julien loves beautiful things, photographing them, and eating sushi. So if a pixel looks misplaced, which is virtually impossible, that's julien@liveminutes.com.
Binh
Binh is our machinist. Binh makes things work, he is only happy in SSH mode. You never hear him, he is always goggles on, fixing things and figuring out how to make them faster and more efficient. He is always in the look out for some new tech stack. Sometimes he takes out his goggles, smiles and says quietly "it's faster now": that usually means ten times faster minimum. Binh's only non computer related interest is Manchester United. So if you want to talk linux, connect to our API, or discuss why Cristiano left for Madrid, that's binh@liveminutes.com.
Clément
Clément is our Mobile Prince Charming. He is on a mission to bring LiveMinutes to tablets and phones, and he has started with our brand new interface. He is constantly torn between his righteous duty to code native iOS apps and his shameful lust for slick HTML5 interfaces. He is now undertaking the real quest to bring our real-time meeting application to all mobile devices. In this epic battle, he will be able to count on all the team squiring for him. Personally, he also enjoys playing guitar, the perfect instrument to sing along his javascript tales. So if you'd like to hop in the HTML5 holy grail, that's clement@liveminutes.com.
Nicolas
Nicolas is our bug hit-man. At the slightest sound of a user's complaint, Nicolas takes his axe and start frantically scrolling through thousands of lines of code, fiercely hunting down the rogue piece of code. Regardless of the environment, regardless of the hour of the night or of the day, Nicolas will hunt that bug down and make it disappear, in the depth of the repository. His favorite tool is the ticket list, where he can see appear the names of his next victims, and report their execution. Personally, Nicolas enjoys nice cuisine, which gives him a break from slicing code, and lets him slice vegetables instead. If you'd like to report a bug, that's nicolas@liveminutes.com.
Greg
Greg is our Javascript Sensei. He has devoted his life to the search of the perfect code: efficient, lightweight, zero-redundant, elegant, and harmonious. When faced with a ten thousands line spaghetti code, he pauses, breathes, and mentally origamies it into a small polished gem that does the same thing but infinitely better. His only earthly pleasure is to treat his little princess. If you'd like to discuss the pertinence of polymorphism in weak typed languages, that's greg@liveminutes.com.
Victoire
Victoire is our Sunshine Assurance. Others have Quality Assurance, we have Victoire. She was born fired up, like an everlasting Plutonium battery radiating joy and positivity. She rides her beam of light from user to product team to user and gets everyone fired up on making things more awesome. Some users have confessed provoking bugs just for the pleasure of hearing her cheerful voice. And as if that wasn't enough, she is also a Ballet dancer. If you'd like to shout your love for LiveMinutes, that's victoire@liveminutes.com.
